Pre-war vs. Post-war Poetry
What changes do you notice between the pre-war and post-war poetry we've read in class? What themes carry over between poems like Apollinaire's "Zone" and Eliot's "The Wasteland" and "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock?" How have these themes changed? How do the poets utilize the often irregular structure of the poems to highlight the tone and themes of the poetry? Feel free to write anything else you feel is important for the comparison of these poems.
Favorite Books
Feel free to discuss some of your favorite books, using some of the literary techniques and terminology we've discussed in class. Provide things like a basic description of what the book's about, what genre it is, what some of the major themes are, and the reasons why you like the book.

Reactions to Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock"
Please comment here about "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" that we read in class. Questions to think about include: Who is the speaker and what is the "plot" in this poem?
